Product Description Quartz movement, Dress watch, Gold-tone hands, numbers & markers, Gold-tone stainless steel crown, Stainless steel bezel, case & caseback, 30 meters/99 feet water resistant
Amazon.com Product Description Add a touch of class to any ensemble with clean, simple lines of this mid-sized Skagen stainless steel women's watch, which features a unique mesh bracelet. This silver stainless steel watch case measures 25mm (1 inch) wide and is topped by a brilliantly polished bezel. The sublimely silver features a mix of gold-tone stick and Arabic numeral marker, and thin baton hands. The easily adjustable silver mesh stainless steel bracelet band adds an elegant texture, and it's joined by a fold-over safety clasp. Other features include a scratch-resistant mineral crystal, precise Japanese quartz movement, and water resistance to 30 meters (100 feet)--which can withstand splashes of water while washing hands or in the rain. All Skagen stainless steel watch cases and bands are constructed from durable 100 percent solid stainless steel, and is nickel safe and hypoallergenic for sensitive skin. This watch is backed by Skagen's limited lifetime warranty, which covers all parts except strap, crystal and battery. About Skagen Named after a fishing hamlet in Denmark on the northern tip of the Jutland peninsula, Skagen Designs was founded by Henrik and Charlotte Jorst in 1991 after the two Copenhagen natives moved to New York City. The company subscribes to the principle that beautifully designed, high-quality objects can be created at reasonable prices. Skagen watches represent the technical excellence, refined design and operational simplicity that have created the unique reputation of Danish design. The fishing village of Skagen--the Skaw--lies where the northern-most tip of the Danish peninsula known as Jutland bends East and breaks the surging waters of the Kattegat and Skagerak seas. The spectacular natural beauty of the area is compellingly beautiful, and its white sandy beaches have been visited by artists for centuries.

The watch I wanted November 26, 2008 This is my third Skagen watch. The first I had for years. The second I lost. They are stylish and look good with casual as well as dressy outfits.

Skagen Women's Stainless Steel Watch #233XSGSC I like the style and thin mesh watchband. The dial is easy to read. I had lost my previous Skagen watch. I'm happy I was able to replace it with this one. ~jane
Valentine's Day Gift March 4, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The watch was purchased for my wife's Valentine's Day gift. She love the the watch, but is allergic to the band which apparently is not stainless steel as the description had indicated.
One of the Best Purchases I've Ever Made February 25, 2008 This is a good watch, and a fantastic buy. On the Skagen website, which I used extensively to look up product specifications and high-res pictures, they sell this watch for almost double what amazon.com sells it for.
I received the watch in the mail very quickly; it came in very nice packaging, worked right out of the box, and it looks gorgeous. It is very lightweight, but you can tell by handling it that it is VERY sturdy. The watch is nicely designed, but the face is especially beautiful. The dial is minimalist but elegant. It is really nice to look at something pretty when you need to know the time, rather than fishing your clunky cellphone out of your pocket or purse. I've actually gotten compliments on how thin it is from strangers. It dresses up a casual outfit and goes really well with more formal stuff, anything but black tie.
I've never worn a watch before, but I love this Skagen, and I'm very happy with my purchase.
Edited to add: Somehow I cracked the glass face of the watch right down the middle very shortly after purchasing. (I honestly don't know how it happened, I must have slammed my wrist against the wall during a nightmare? Weird.) I emailed customer service on the Skagen website, and they very quickly agreed to waive fees for the new face, the service charge, and shipping/handling (would have been around $40, almost the price of the watch itself). I mailed the watch in broken and got it back a week later good as new for ONLY the cost of shipping it to their service center. GREAT customer service to match a great product.
She loves it!! January 18, 2008 Was a gift for my sweetheart. She love's it! Timeless style, keeps good time, clasp is secure, incredibly thin profile; and Amazon delivery time and price can't be beat. Lots of "brownie points" with this one guys for about the same cost of dinner for two!
